The state budget ended a fair, competitive bidding process that allowed Planned Parenthood health centers to compete with other health care providers for public funding.

The new system risks women's health by creating a politically motivated pyramid. Women who use these funds for life-saving breast and cervical cancer screenings, STD testing and treatment, and contraception may not be able to visit the provider of their choice.
